Bonnie Howell, FACHE – Senior Consultant Dr. Bonnie H. Howell is a Senior Consultant with FPY. Since joining the company in 2005, Dr. Howell has focused on executive coaching and leadership development, as well as participating in executive and physician searches. Dr. Howell is the former President and CEO of Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, New York. She directed the hospital’s transition from a County to a private not-for-profit facility, and then set the strategy for the organization’s rise to medical center status with a full scope of advanced services. In addition, she served as chair, for two consecutive terms, of the Health Care Association of New York State’s (HANYS) Board of Trustees. Dr. Howell received her Bachelors degree from Cornell’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and a Masters degree with distinction in Hospital and Health Services Administration from the Cornell Graduate School of Business and Public Administration. Her doctoral degree was awarded by the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Howell spent an additional two years in a Health Planning Program studying strategic planning and analysis from the community perspective. Dr. Howell has been on the faculties of Cornell University and New York University teaching a course on leadership. She is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives, and was granted a Distinguished Service Award by both the College and the Health Care Association of New York State. Dr. Howell is also a member of the International Coaching Federation. |
