Kathleen Chumer, RN – Senior Consultant
Kathleen Chumer has been a Senior Consultant at FPY since 2007, and is a seasoned health care leader with over 35 years of experience in hospital and physician practice administration.

Ms. Chumer has held prominent leadership positions in Cardiovascular Medicine. During her 15+ years at Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey, Ms. Chumer was instrumental in the planning and implementation of the largest cardiac surgical program in the state of New Jersey and was responsible for the comprehensive Cardiovascular Service Line, as well as Surgical Services and the Trauma Program. From 2002-2005, Ms. Chumer served as the Director of The Heart and Vascular Institute at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, and as a Director for the international TCT conference sponsored by the Cardiac Research Foundation.

As an Independent Expert Panel member, Ms. Chumer has advised both health care organizations and medical corporations regarding new program development, service line implementation and the economic implications of new technologies and pharmaceuticals.

Ms. Chumer served as President of The New Jersey Association of Health Care Executives and is currently a member of the education and science advisory committee for the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey. Ms. Chumer has had numerous articles published on the implications of “Disruptive Technology” and the role of leadership in managing technological changes. She is a nationally recognized expert in health care leadership and is a frequent guest lecturer at both clinical and leadership conferences.
